Hard-boiled

When you press her face it cracks
like a hard-boiled egg. Keep touching
and the cracks widen, deepen. Then
you get the urge to peel, reveal
the wet slippery white understuff.
She'll encourage you to dig further,
your fingers pressed into the flesh,
watching it break apart like desert
cracking at a fault line, until at last
you reach the yolk and pluck it out,
soft, yellow, creamy as balm between
your fingers, so heavenly when placed
on your tongue, so bad for your heart.
